![]() This summer, Lakeside will again participate in the state-wide 2010 No Book Left Unread Summer Reading Program. All students who will be in kindergarten through 12th grade next school year are eligible to participate. Even teachers and staff can participate. All you need to do is keep track of how many MINUTES you read from June 1 through August 31, 2010 on the form your teacher or librarian gave you. Turn in this form to your ELA teacher by September 7, 2010 and you will win a surprise! You can choose to read anything! Books, magazines, newspapers, as well as online reading (books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, wikis, etc.) all count! Compete with your friends to see who can read the most. Can you read more this summer than your teacher? If you read the most minutes of any student in the school, you will win the grand prize. The student, faculty/staff member and school with the most time read will receive an award at the South Carolina Association of School Librarians conference in Columbia in March 2011. Additional forms are available at the Summer Reading link under the Library Media Center page on the left-hand side of this webpage.
